“Transform and roll out!”
The Transformers Animated: Season One two-disc set comes to DVD, and feature all the action you would expect out of the Transformers name! The animation is superb and any fan of those ever changing robots will want to own this.
Complete with thirteen episodes of the original season, the story is for fans and kids alike. Kids will identify with the eight year girl Sari that the Autobots quasi-adopt, and fans will enjoy the story as it keeps true to the classic series.
Sari becomes part of the team, and becomes an honorary Autobot and an important part of the mission as she becomes keeper of The Key. The key serves as a power source and a healing energy for the Autobots (which, of course, the evil Decepticons want).
Of course, the Decepticons (those evil, bad robots) are plotting and planning to get their metal hands on The Key. The battle of good versus evil continues in this great season with lots of Autobot vs. Decepticon action and fights.
The first episode kicks off with the Autobots meeting Sari, and of course, battling the Decepticons. Sari becomes keeper of the key. In the episodes that follow, the Autobots end up in Detroit, and Bumblebee is kidnapped for ransom of the key.
The Autobots set up base in an old auto-parts store, and Dinobots continue to hunt down the Autobots.
In episode seven, a new villain is introduced, Nanosec. There is a fun episode where Bumblebee and Sari celebrate Bumblebee and Bulkhead’s first Halloween (until the Decepticon Blackarachnia shows up and ruins the party).
The special features are light on this DVD, they include a sneak peek photo gallery for season two, which is really a fan teaser! Any fan will definitely want to check that out.
Transformers Animated: Season One is highly recommended for excellent animation and good story lines that will keep kids and fans alike interested.
