Do you believe that your vote was counted, and counted correctly in the 2004 elections? After watching this documentary, you may have some serious doubt. What is happening in America to allow this basic premise of our freedom and democracy to come under intense scrutiny and question. Watch Uncounted, and be worried about what will happen in November 2008.
The very possibility of Election fraud is a puzzling and frustrating topic. We like to think that something of this nature wouldn’t happen in America, and yet…..there are many unanswered questions.
This documentary coming from Emmy award winning director David Earnhardt is an eye opening experience.
Looking at the problem from a logical point of view and supported by factual information, it is astonishing to discover how easily election results may be compromised. Even if you are not a believer in “conspiracy theory” type documentaries, this one will give you pause to think. If it is that simple to change or misread or even leave out entire sections of votes, what is to stop it from occurring in all our elections, especially one as important as the Presidential election in the autumn of 2008.
It is frightening to think that this could happen, or even worse that it has happened. What is even more terrifying to ponder is what that says for our rights as a democracy. Perhaps we take our freedoms too much for granted, and should examine the processes that give us these liberties more closely. In any event, this is a call to get involved on a personal level, to become one of the individuals looking at what isn’t working, and finding a solution.
Uncounted features whistleblowers Clint Curtis, Bruce Funk and Steve Heller, Rep. John Conyers, “Steal This Vote” author Andrew Gumbel, journalists Robert Koehler, Brad Friedman, Ian Hoffman, Robert Fitrakis, and Harvey Wasserman, election integrity activists Bev Harris and Jonathan Simon, and the late Athan Gibbs, inventor.
What all these people have to say may shock or astonish you into taking a more active part in how the election processes work.
Uncounted is presented on a single disc, with a running time of 80 minutes. Bonus features for the DVD include 60 minutes of additional footage with deleted scenes. There are also extended interviews and speeches. Uncounted: The New Math of American Elections is now available at Amazon . As of yet, there is not a release date for this version of the DVD in the UK. Visit the DVD database for more information.
