Two and a Half Men is one of those series that you are constantly being reminded of in real life! I don’t know how the writers do it, but they capture some of the funniest moments, and it seems that during the day at the office people are always saying, “it’s just like that time in Two and a Half Men when Charlie did, or Alan said, or Jake was” whatever. It is the mark of a good comedy when the situations work their way into people’s memory to be brought out and laughed over again. It might be fun and interesting to count the number of Two and a Half Men references made during the week, at the coffee machine (or coffee shop if you are so lucky to have one at work).
Anyway, here we have Season Three on DVD, and what a great season to add to the collection. Just re-visiting these episodes had us laughing uncontrollably. Alan (Jon Cryer), Charlie (Charlie Sheen) and Jake (Angus T. Jones) are almost like three ages of man (anyone’s guess who the child is) or maybe even the three stooges. Like so many comedies, each person you speak with has their favorite episode, however it seems in my office we all loved “Santa’s Village of the Damned.” This was the episode where Alan’s girlfriend, a domestic goddess, just about “perfected” the Holidays into oblivion. In another favorite “Just Once With Aunt Sophie” Jake is about to go to his first boy/girl party. Both Alan and Charlie remember their first parties, and Jake is given way more advice than he’ll ever need.
Two and a Half Men Season Three is presented on four discs in a widescreen format. The playing time is 527 minutes. Special to this set is a gag reel which is pretty amazing.
The episodes are available in English and Portugese language and subtitles are available in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Portugese.
