The first one (AVP) was so bad i didnt even watch it to the end.
I thought that with the ultra bad Alien 4 flick ,the point of total trashing the cult Alien trilogy was reached.... But nope.. AVP proofed you can make a movie that was even worse than Alien 4.
Needless to mention that Predator was a great movie too.
Then came AVP :
Flat und weak story (even the story of the computer game had higher quality) , cheap actors, unconvincing characters and overusage of special effects .... the list is long
Please tell me that at least this one is worth having a look at
It is worth having a look at, but don't expect much. At least it was Rated-R, and the filmmakers didn't shy away from the gore and violence. However, the entire move is so DARK that you can't see anything. The big fights between the Aliens and the Predator are all done in shadow and you find yourself squinting to see something cool rather than enjoying the show.
The plot is retarded, but you kind of expect that - given the first film, and the overall concept. It isn't going to redeem the franchise, but there are a couple of cool moments in the movie.
