While everyone is busy getting ready for Easter, Linus is convinced that the Easter Beagle has it all under control. Why stress out over preparations for the Holiday? The Easter Beagle will take care of all the decorations, the Easter outfits, and the colored eggs.
From the seemingly all too true Christmas sale at the discount store (only 246 more days to shop) to dancing bunnies in peep eggs and friends that just can’t seem to get it right, there are laughs and groans, philosophy and foolishness. Most of all there is the message of hope, to keep believing.
Included on the disc is an additional feature, It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown. When Arbor Day and Baseball Season coincide, there is conflict and complication for all the Peanuts gang. It is good to plant trees, but there can sometimes be too much of a good thing. A documentary titled “In Full Bloom” Peanuts at Easter” is included as a special feature.
This has interviews with present day comic strip authors as well as friends and family of Charles Schulz. Along with appreciative analysis of Schulz’ art and wisdom, these guests discuss the messages and parables that are found in the Easter special and in the comic strips.
They stress the fact that these messages of faith and belief are not bound by any theological doctrines or denominations, they are simply the recognition of truth, and of a spark of the Divine that exists in everyone.
It’s The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown is presented on a single disk in standard format, with spoken language choices of English, Spanish and Portugese, and subtitles in English for the hearing impaired, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean and Thai.
Spring is a time of hope and renewal, and this year it is definite, the Easter Beagle is coming to our house to stay!
