I have to say that I disagree with some of the comments on this review above.
Yes, it was mentioned in Pirates 2 that Jack would be sent to the locker - several times. Bootstrap said it to him right near the beginning of the film for one!!

A lot of people do not understand Pirates 2 and 3, that's clear from a lot of reviews I've read. You do have to watch the films several times and you catch things you never noticed before. At World's End is not slow anywhere in the film, it is telling a story and building to a climax - which is exactly how all 3 films have been done. I agree that the maelstrom sequence is fantastic and the showing of the behind the scenes on Disc 2 shows just how hard it was for the actors and the supporting crew to film that without resorting to CGI completely.

A true Pirates fan will fully understand all 3 films. I have to admit I have probably watched each one about 20 times - At World's End already 4 times and it's only been out a few weeks. I have to say that there is only one question that never got answered, or I never figured out what it was. Beckett said to Will in the Pirates 2 that he and Jack had both left their mark on each other. We all know he branded the P on Jack's arm but what did Jack do to Beckett? It never got answered and even when they saw each other again on Pirates 3, it still didn't get mentioned. Any help out there for this?

I'm afraid that this review above sounded like it was written by someone who really hasn't shown much interest in any of the Pirate films. Impartial - yes, but not a brilliant review.

Parlay! Parlay!

I'll take offense at being impartial, but nothing to brandish cutlasses about, to the Pirates film since I loved all three (wee bit of reservation about parts of 3 as you read) But I do have to grant passage since you've watched the film more than I[bows, doffs pirate hat] ;)

I'll admit to have only watched 2 maybe twice and that was when it came out on DVD and a time ago. Mea culpa. I was referring to the locker being mentioned in 2 which my faulty film memory didnt assist me on.

I just didnt think that 3 offered a satisfying ending to the series, but that's my opinion.

Aye Tracy, you're smart as paint and a much better pirate than me-self.

Let's not cut up the bible as to make a black spot George Merry and agrees to disagree. ;)

All 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies were absolutely fantastic and are the BEST!!! Anyone who disagrees doesn't know what they are talking about. And as for Tracy's question, i was thinking the same thing but then just figured that some questions like this are better left unanswered. It adds to the suspicion and mystery of the movie.
