Witness every stage of the world\'s most electrifying rock band! Plug Me In - the new 2DVD set contains over 5 hours of rare and unreleased LIVE video from AC/DC. DVD 1 goes all the way back to 1975 and original singer Bon Scott with the band\'s first appearance on TV, quickly followed by two never-before-seen performances from the 1976 show at Sydney\'s St. Alban\'s High School. AC/DC fans get ready to drool! The band has released a must own DVD set, Plug Me In, that is a career-spanning collection of live performances, interviews and more.
Disc One of the set covers 1975-1979 (which features the band’s legendary singer Bon Scott) starts with a performance of “High Voltage” performed in October 1975 on Australia's "King of Pop Awards" show. It focuses on AC/DC’s early years and contains more than 20 performances – including rare black & white video footage of the notorious St. Albans High School concert on March 3, 1976; the very first UK television appearance in July 1976; pristine live full-color stereo concert performances from Glasgow and Essex University in 1978; and three songs - including the very first public performance of "Highway To Hell" - from Netherlands television in 1979.

I loved the performance of “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If you Want to Rock and Roll)” (from the 1976 Bandstand Australia). Bon Scott (sporting a Superman shirt) proves that he can look tough even while playing the bagpipes!
Disc One’s bonus material features a Bon Scott interview from November 1977 and some band interviews from 1976. There are also four songs recorded live in Nice on December 15, 1979 – which was one of Bon Scott's last concerts with the band before his tragic death on February 19, 1980.
Disc Two covers the arrival of Brian Johnson as the band’s new singer – which began with the release of AC/DC’s huge ‘Back In Black’ in 1980. The disc covers three decades of footage and features more than 20 performances that cover the globe. Performances include an extremely rare Japanese television appearance from February 1981, and sets in Detroit, Moscow, Paris, Munich and Toronto.
Disc Two’s bonus material includes the Beavis and Butt-Head “Ballbreaker Tour” intro film; interviews; rehearsal footage; and Rock Me Baby – which features Angus and Malcolm Young taking the stage with The Rolling Stones in Festwiese, Leipzig, June 2003.
In addition to the music captured on the two DVDs, the set contains two booklets. The first booklet is a history of the band and a track-listing for the set. The second book is a picture history of the band.
This is a simple review to write. If you are a fan of AC/DC, GO BUY THIS SET! From start to finish, it is filled with what makes them one of the greatest rock bands ever. The set will simply not disappoint. Plug Me In does an excellent job covering both singers, and capturing the footage that illustrates what makes the band rock.
Plug Me In is now available at Amazon. As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD database for more information.
