2 points of correction,
1: At the beginning sequence Afro's father is the holder of the no. 1 headband and Justice the villan is the challenger and holder of the no. 2 headband. After their duel he becomes no.1 and the object of Afro's revenge.
2: SPIKE TV was the network that broadcast the television version of Afro Samurai, not the Cartoon Network.
I must recomend the directors cut for those interested in how a concept is developed into an anime property. I found the extras DVD very informative.
