Before she moved into Wisteria Lane, she was Lois Lane. Lois & Clark takes the concept behind the Adventures of Superman and makes it younger and sexier.
The series begins with Lois (Teri Hatcher) revealing that she knows that Clark Kent (Dean Cain) is Superman. I knew that whole glasses off thing wouldn’t hold out forever. All of our old friends are here, editor Perry White (Lane Smith), Jimmy Olsen (Justin Whalin), Pa Kent (Eddie Jones), and Ma Kent (K. Callan). All 22 forty five minute episodes from Season Three are spread out over 6 single sided discs.

Lois and Clark is a fine series, however, this season some of the chinks in the Man of Steel starts to show. Some of the episodes are very good, but they drag out the wedding storyline far too long and the stuff with the clones and Lois’ memory loss is incredibly silly. It reminds me the standard soap opera plot – make obstacles to keep characters together, finally get them together, and then start breaking them apart again.
Lois and Clark is presented in fullscreen as it was originally shown. Special features include a 6 minute clip of the Bryan Singer produced “Look, Up in the Sky!” documentary and trailer for Superman: Brainiac Attacks on disc three. The other special features are on disc six.
They include the 8 minute featurette “Lois and Clark: A History of Romance.” It has interviews with President and publisher of DC comics Paul Levitz, senior group editor Mike Carlin, actor Dean Cain, writer/supervising producer John McNamara, comic book writer/editor Denny O’Neill, and director of Superman the Animated series Dan Riba.
The Wedding Day
There is also a 10 Minute Man of Steel Trivia Challenge hosted by Dean Cain. It’s not much of a challenge since he just asks you the question and then immediately tells you the answer. Your reward is a highlight reel of Season Three of Lois and Clark.
Lois and Clark is a good show. I really enjoyed it and very much liked the performances of Dean Cain and Terri Hatcher. What I also enjoyed was Lane Smith as Perry White. Fans of the show will want to continue on with their collecting.
