I will agree with the review as YellowBeard being one of those poor written films but the cast does make this a 'cult' film. I guess one reason I like the film is Marty Feldman. This being his last film holds a special place in heart, now if we can only get his other films out on DVD and his Marty Feldman's Comedy Machine TV series.
One piece of trivia-- Popular singer of the time, Adam Ant was asked to play the role of the cabin boy that was later played by David Bowie. Adam said he saw the script and turned it down.
