DVD Review: Full House - The Complete Third Season

Loaded with good old fashion family comedy, Full House is about the Tanner family, their two father substitutes Jesse and Joey, and introduced the world to the Olsen twins. With the release of this four-disc set, Warner Brothers brings you the complete 24 episode third season so you can sit back and relive all the classic moments.

Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) lives with his three daughters, Michelle (the Olsen twins), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and D. J. (Candace Cameron). They also have two surrogate fathers in the form of their uncle Jesse (John Stamos) and Danny’s friend Joey (Dave Coulier). This set has all 9 hours of the Tanners’ comic misadventures.The third season breaks down as follows:
Episode 1: Tanner’s Island: The vacationing Tanners and company are stranded on a desert island.
Episode 2: Back-to-school blues: D. J. goes make-up crazy to try and fit in with the other junior-high girls.
Episode 3: Breaking up is hard to do: D. J. attempts to fix Jesse and Becky’s broken relationship.
Episode 4: Nerd for a day: Stephanie learns that making fun of someone isn’t funny.
Episode 5: Granny Tanny: Grandmother Tanner decides to move into the already full house.
Episode 6: Star Search: Joey’s self imposed ten year goal of making it as comic is up and he’s trying to make it big by going on Star Search.
Episode 7: And they call it puppy love: The girls take in a stray dog that just happens to soon to have puppies.
Episode 8: Divorce court: Jesse, Danny, and Joey have a race to determine who is the best athlete.

Attack of the Olsen twins

Episode 11: Aftershocks: An earthquake causes Stephanie to start clinging to her father.
Episode 12: Joey and Stacy and…Oh yeah, Jesse: Joey and Jesse let some personal problems interfere with their advertisement business.
Episode 13: No more Mr. Dumb Guy: Jesse tries to learn some etiquette with some help from…..Joey?!?
Episode 14: Misadventures in babysitting: D. J. baby-sits to earn to extra money but can she handle her mischievous charge?
Episode 15: Lust in the dust: Danny starts dating a neat freak.
Episode 16: Bye, Bye, Birdie: Michelle lets the class’ pet bird escape on her first day of preschool.
Episode 17: Candles: D. J. attempt so play spin the bottle at her birthday party but not without interference from the men of the house.
Episode 18: Mr. Egghead: Joey tries out for a role on the kids’ show Mr. Egghead.
Episode 19: Those better not be the days: The guys and the girls change roles for the day.

The Girls

Episode 20: Honey, I broke the house: Stephanie accidentally crashes Joey’s new car….into the kitchen.
Episode 21: Just say no way: D. J. is stopped with a beer at a school dance.
Episode 22: Three men and another baby: Michelle is jealous of the cute baby that the family is babysitting.
Episode 23: Fraternity reunion: Joey and Danny end up in drag at their frat reunion and end up in jail.
Episode 24: Our very first telethon: Danny hosts the 24 hour We Love Our Children telethon.Although the show may not have been a favorite for everyone, fans of the show will want to continue with their collection. However, others who are not used to so much sugar and over the top acting might want to stay away. This season does have guest turns from Doris Roberts (Ray Romano’s TV mom), Steve Oedekerk, Scott Baio, and Ed McMahon. The show is presented in fullscreen as it was originally aired on television. Special features are not exactly so special. The only thing is a 4 minute featurette called “Joey impersonations” and it’s not really that great. It’s just a compilation of some of Joey’s shenanigans from season three and really isn’t focused on impersonations. He does a pretty good Popeye and Daffy Duck though. Sadly for fans, there are no contributions or commentaries from the cast.Again fans of the show will want to buy this, even with the disappointing extras, but folks who don’t like this kind of over the top sitcom acting will want to stay away. omg i absolutly love full house i watch it ever day when i get home from skool........and i am in love with john stamos he is so sexy.....i would do anything to meet him...........if he reads this i want him to knoe im his biggest fan and i love him so much..

full house is my ultamit favorite show. It reminds me of when I was younger. I can relate to is in so many ways. I watch it everytime its on, even at 4:30 in the morning on Nick at Night. God bless you all.
