Even though the characters and the events are different in this movie, it is exactly the same as when a stranger calls. I'm suprised that it was even released because you would think that after seeing when a stranger calls, no one would wnt to go back and see the same movie again, therefore, no money for this movie. It sounds like a great movie, because i saw when a stramger calls 1960's and 2006 versions and i loved them. But most of the actors and actresses are unknown in when a killer calls and so its more like one of those random movies that you never hear about because it is just like another. I haven't seen the movie so i admit i have no idea if the movie is bad or good, but there are just so many movies with the same theme, after when a stranger calls came out, any other movie would make the theme 'old'. even though there is talk about when a stranger calls 2, since the same actress, Camilla Belle, is most likely to be 'Jill' again, if the writer/producer, etc. makes just the right movie, it will be just as good as the first when a stranger calls, maybe even better. So I think the movie when a killer calls would still be a good movie, but that theme of babysitters and the kids they are babysitting being killed and the calls coming from inside the house is just getting old. I do plan on seeing this movie and maybe my opinion might change a little, but i think when a stranger calls and when a killer calls are the same movie just with different writters, different actors, a different title and different events.
