Paramount Home Entertainment has announced Apocalypse Now – The Complete Dossier will arrive on DVD August 15th with the suggested retail price of $19.99. The two-disc DVD contains both Apocalypse Now and Apocalypse Redux, and is loaded with special features, including a commentary by Francis Ford Coppola as well as additional, never-before-seen scenes.

Nominated for eight Academy Awards, Apocalypse now is a compelling Vietnam War epic starring Martin Sheen as Captain Willard. Willard is sent on a dangerous and mesmerizing odyssey into Cambodia to assassinate a renegade American Colonel named Kurtz (Marlon Brando), who has succumbed to the horrors of war and barricaded himself in a remote outpost. Robert Duvall, Laurence Fishburne, Dennis Hopper and Harrison Ford also star.

In addition to both versions of the film and the commentary, the DVD set will include:
Lost "monkey sampan" scene
Marlon Brando's complete reading of T.S. Eliot's poem "The Hollow Men"
Apocalypse Then and Now retrospective
"PBR Streetgang" - cast members' reunion

Apocalypse Now – The Complete Dossier is now available at Amazon. As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD database for more information.
