THERE WAS THIS ONE TIME, AT BAND CAMP…
 
American Pie is one of the biggest grossing comedy franchises of all time, and fresh out of the oven is the fourth slice of American Pie hilarity from Universal Pictures. American Pie Presents Band Camp has its UK premier release on DVD and video from the 31st October 2005, and who better to share a juicy slice of the pie with than Matt Stifler, the younger brother of veteran sexist, horn-dog Steven Stifler!
 
American Pie Presents Band Camp sees the introduction of a new generation of East Great Falls High students with Matt in typical Stifler style, being the centre of the school’s attention. We are introduced to Matt and his buddies on the eve of their graduation. Making sure the graduation evening goes with a swing, Stifler Jnr and his cohorts decide to spice the evening’s entertainment up by pepper-spraying the school band’s equipment prior to them playing. In the aftermath of the musical mayhem that ensues, managing to disrupt the entire graduation ceremony, Matt finds himself in as much trouble as he created when he’s called into the head’s office, only to come face-to-face with a new improved, adult Shermanator.
 
Deciding to teach him the error of his ways, The Shermanator resolves to send (Matt) Stifler on a summer vacation to Band Camp to do general chores and clean the instruments as a punishment befitting the crime. Matt is beside himself until he is reminded of the urban legends that have long circulated the school about the boozy romps and secret swinging sex parties of band camp life. There was this one time, at band camp…

As with the Shermanator’s natural progression into teaching, Steve Stifler’s adult life has seen him build a successful career in the production of adult entertainment films. With his elder brother’s success banging away in the back of his mind, and determined to lose the tag of ‘Stifler’s younger brother’, Matt decides anything his brother can do, he can do better, and hatches a plan to capture on film the secret, sordid life of sex, drugs and rock ’n roll that hides behind the wholesome, all-American image of band camp. 

 

Armed with enough spy cameras to give Inspector Gadget an inferiority complex, Matt embarks on his mission to uncover some hot band camp totty. After a series of near misses, missed moments and the usual huge slice of cringingly embarrassing moments, he soon realises that if he is going to get on in Dorkville, he is going to have to recruit of a few of its inhabitants.
 
After enlisting the help of his shy, geeky, virgin roommate Ernie -who incidentally has a crush on the sexy looking, pierced, alternative tuba playing Chloe - Matt tries to befriend the sweet-but-sexy Elyse, the band’s attractive, yet ultra-serious drum major. In typical American Pie style the film follows Matt as he crashes and burns through a series of embarrassing and hilariously funny escapades, whilst all the time trying to capture the desired footage, and win over the affections of the ever more beautiful Elyse. If for every action there is a reaction, Matt’s is clearly the liberally infused guidance lectures from open-minded Jim’s Dad, Mr. Levenstein (Eugene Levy) after each failed mission lands him in First Aid.
 
With DVD extras including Band Camp Dirty Diary, which gives viewers an inhibited look at what went on behind-the-scenes, Secret RoverCam footage as well as hilarious outtakes and deleted scenes, you just know you’re going to enjoy it, and you know it’s going to change your younger brothers life forever… 

 

 
Also releasing on 31st October is the must by boxset American Pie 4-Play, which features all four films and a host of uproarious extras.
 
American Pie Presents Band Camp which is out to own and rent on DVD and video from 31st October, courtesy of Universal Pictures (UK) Ltd has managed to continue the sharp, laugh-out-loud humour that has become the trademark of the brand, while managing to squeeze in more naked teenage flesh than a night out clubbing in Blackpool, with a much more appealing view.
