The inspirational and incredible true story The Fighter has hit Blu-ray from Paramount Home Entertainment, and M&C’s giving away three copies!

Mark Wahlberg and Academy Award winners Christian Bale and Melissa Leo star in the inspiring true story of working-class boxer “Irish” Micky Ward (Wahlberg) and his against-all-odds triumph in the ring that united his fractured family and brought pride to his blue-collar hometown. 

Bale portrays Ward’s troubled older brother, Dicky Eklund, a role that earned him a Golden Globe, SAG and National Board of Review award for Best Supporting Actor, in addition to his Oscar. 

Golden Globe, SAG and Oscar winner Melissa Leo (Frozen River) gives a knockout performance as Ward’s mother and Oscar nominee Amy Adams (Doubt) stars as his girlfriend and future wife, Charlene.

The film was directed by David O. Russell (Three Kings), and was nominated for a total of seven Academy Awards including Best Picture. 

The Fighter Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and English, English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles.  The DVD is presented in English 5.1 Surround with English, French and Spanish subtitles.
