Paranormal Activity 2 haunts DVD and Blu-ray in February

Terror comes home as Paranormal Activity 2 arrives on DVD and Blu-ray in an unrated version from Paramount Home Entertainment on February 8th.

Hailed by critics and audiences alike as “one of the scariest films of all time” (ARTISTDirect), Paranormal Activity 2 solidifies the franchise as the hottest new horror series that has viewers clamoring for more. 

The chillingly realistic prequel to 2009’s horror phenomenon chronicles the frightening days leading up to the events of the original film, marking the return of Katie, Micah and the terrifying and malevolent presence that’s torturing them.  When Katie’s sister Kristi and her husband find their house vandalized after bringing home their new baby, they set up 24-hour surveillance cameras. 

What unfolds on the footage is far more sinister and shocking than anything they could have imagined.

The Paranormal Activity 2 Blu-ray/DVD Combo and standard DVD available at retail both offer the original theatrical version of the film, plus exclusive, never-before-seen found footage, including an extended, unrated version that was too intense for theaters.  The Blu-ray/DVD Combo also includes a digital copy of the unrated version.  The rental DVD and Blu-ray discs present the original theatrical version of the film. 

The Paranormal Activity 2 Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital, Brazilian Portuguese 5.1 Dolby Digital and English Audio Description with English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. 

The DVD in the Combo pack is presented in English 5.1 Surround with English, French and Spanish subtitles.  The single disc DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, French 5.1 Surround, Spanish 5.1 Surround and English Audio Description and English, French and Spanish subtitles.
