Douglas, Sarandon, DeVito and Parker highlight Solitary Man, on DVD Sept. 7

Michael Douglas stars in the latest Anchor Bay DVD release, "Solitary Man."

The film comes to Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment on September 7th, 2010. 

A critical favorite during its theatrical run, Solitary Man also stars Mary-Louise Parker (“Weeds”) Jenna Fisher (“The Office”), Jesse Eisenberg (Holy Rollers, Zombieland), Imogen Poots (28 Days Later) with Susan Sarandon and Danny DeVito – whom Douglas has co-starred in several films with over the years, including Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, and The War of the Roses.

Premise

Michael Douglas, as Ben Kalmen, leads a brilliant all-star cast in this smart and sophisticated comedy.  Ben had a thriving career, a beautiful family, and a luxury apartment in the heart of Manhattan, but the same irresistible charm that got him to the top is also the cause of his downfall.  He desperately attempts to regain his status the only way he knows how: through a woman.  But when his wandering eye turns to the wrong woman, he looks to his family, and long time friend (Danny DeVito), to help get him back on his feet again – only this time he’s got nothing to lose.
