The late Steve Irwin's fierce little daughter Bindi Irwin is branching out and making her mark on the smallscreen and the big screen.
Her latest film features Irwin as Kirra Cooper who goes to live with her estranged grandfather, Gus (Beau Bridges) after her father is injured. Gus’s business is given a miraculous boost, though, when a fierce storm traps a baby orca in his lagoon, turning his park into the area’s main attraction.
With time running out before the rival amusement park owner claims him, Kirra must not only locate Willy’s pod, but also find a way to teach the young whale to survive and be free in the open sea.

Australian-American animal conservationist, Terri Irwin, encountered a Tyrannosaurus Rex in Jurassic Park with daughter, Bindi (11), and son, Robert (6), while visiting Islands of Adventure theme park at Universal Orlando Resort on March 13.
The Irwins spent time in Orlando while promoting Bindi’s upcoming movie “Free Willy: Escape from Pirate’s Cove.”
Free Willy: Escape From Pirate’s Cove will hit shelves on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, March 23.
