"Stan Helsing" takes the horror genre and gives it the "Airplane" treatment.

From the executive producer of "Scary Movie," the horror comedy "Stan Helsing" will be released on DVD and high definition Blu-ray™ on October 27th by Anchor Bay Entertainment.

This is pure camp and spoof cinema which lampoons contemporary film audiences’ never-ending love of the horrific, gory and unknown.  It's a fun time, and it is great to see Leslie Neilsen again on-screen.  There is also a surprise cameo that will frighten the Republican Party!

"Stan Helsing" the horrorfest had exclusive theatrical engagements in New York, Los Angeles and other select cities this weekend of Friday, October 23rd.

The Stan Helsing DVD and Blu-ray™ will include valuable behind-the-scenes coverage and a commentary track with the cast/filmmakers, featurettes and extended, alternate & deleted scenes.

The Premise:

Written and directed by Bo Zenga, Stan Helsing follows the misadventures of hapless video store clerk Stan Helsing (Steve Howey) and his friends. During what should be a routine video delivery on Halloween night before going to a Halloween party, Stan and company find themselves stranded in the mysterious residential development of Stormy Night Estates. There, Stan learns of his true destiny as a descendant of the legendary monster-hunter Van Helsing.

With his motley band in tow – including his best friend Teddy (Kenan Thompson), he will battle evil in the form of parodies of movie monster icons “Freddy,” “Jason,” “Leatherface,” “Pinhead,” “Michael Myers,” and “Chucky.”

The ultimate confrontation between good and evil will require immeasurable courage, grim determination – and a flair for karaoke?

Stan Helsing crew included DP Robert New (Prom Night), art director Anneke van Oort, production designer Chris August (I, Robot), makeup artist Todd Masters and his crew at MFX and music is by Ryan Shore (Cabin Fever 2).
