Sony Pictures Home Entertainment invites you to witness the action-packed thriller of the year as Vantage Point arrives July 1st on two-disc DVD and Blu-ray High Def as well as on a single-disc DVD and PSP.
During an historic counter-terrorism summit in Spain, the President of the United States is struck down by an assassin’s bullet. Eight strangers have a perfect view of the kill, but what did they really see? As the minutes leading up to the fatal shot are replayed through the eyes of each eyewitness, the reality of the assassination takes shape.
Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow), Matthew Fox (TV’s “Lost”), Sigourney Weaver (Aliens) and Academy Award Winners Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) and William Hurt (Kiss of the Spider Woman) star in this nail-biting story of eight witnesses to an assassination attempt on the President of the United States and the shocking motivation behind it.
Building on the success of the over $75 Million Box Office theatrical run, Vantage Point now offers home viewers a unique cinematic puzzle they’ll want to solve again and again, available for a suggested retail price of $34.95 (two-disc DVD), $38.96 (Blu-ray Disc), $28.96 (single-disc DVD) and $24.94 (PSP).
The two-disc DVD and Blu-ray High Def of Vantage Point include both Widescreen and Full Screen Versions of the film, plus a bonus Digital Copy for playback on PSP, PlayStation 3 or PC. Special features on the two-disc DVD and Blu-ray High Def include “An Inside Perspective: Interviews with the Cast and Crew,” “Plotting an Assassination: Interview with First-time screenwriter Barry Levy,” a deleted scene and a feature length commentary with director Pete Travis.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray Disc is the “Vantage Viewer: GPS Tracker,” a feature which lets viewers track the on-screen movements of each character throughout the film’s overlapping timeline. It’s an additional “vantage point” of this exciting thriller audiences won’t want to miss! Synopsis:

Vantage Point is a mind-bending political action-thriller starring Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox , Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker (Best Actor 2006, The Last King of Scotland), with Sigourney Weaver and Academy Award Winner William Hurt (Best Actor 1985, Kiss of the Spider Woman). Vantage Point marks the feature directorial debut of Pete Travis, who previously helmed the 2005 BAFTA TV Award winning Omagh, which depicted the search for justice after the 1998 bombing in Omagh, Northern Ireland.
Additional directing credits include the International Emmy Award winning miniseries “Henry VIII,” starring Ray Winston and Helena Bonham Carter.
Vantage Point was produced by Neal H. Moritz, whose numerous credits includes the recent smash hit I Am Legend and the upcoming Sony Pictures romantic comedy Made of Honor and the Screen Gems horror remake Prom Night.
