Commuters on Los Angeles freeway 101 take note: To celebrate the remastered double-disc 101 Dalmatians DVD release, the puppies are set to take over the infamous Hollywood 101 Freeway this Saturday.
Prepare to be shocked as Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment creates a giant, snaking “mobile Dalmatian” that will turn the 101 into the 101 Dalmatians Freeway!
101 cars will drive miles and miles in formation, creating a visual spectacle from the ground and the air that will set tongues (and tails!) a waggin’!
This puppy is unlike anything ever before attempted on The Hollywood Freeway! The canine caravan will be comprised of 101 spotted cars, 36 feet wide (over three lanes) and over 1,200 feet (over 4 football fields) in length!
All 101 cars are on a mission to spread love to animals at spcaLA’s Animal Village in Long Beach, each one filled with food, treats, and various pet supplies to donate!

In 2001, the Bureau of Animal Control relocated to a new state-of-the-art companion animal care and control village.
Thanks to a unique partnership agreement between the City of Long Beach and the spcaLA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Los Angeles), the two agencies now jointly deliver innovative and revolutionary care to the animals that enter the Village. Residents of Long Beach and contract cities also benefit from more efficient animal control service.
