Get ready to ride the wildest, wettest wave ever, as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Surf’s Up, this summer’s biggest animated adventure from Sony Pictures Animation, on DVD, Blu-ray High-Def and PSP on October 9, 2007. Starring the vocal talents of Shia LaBeouf (Transformers, Disturbia, Constantine, I Robot), Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Seabiscuit), Zooey Deschanel (Elf, Almost Famous) and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory), Surf’s Up is filled with adventure and humor the whole family can enjoy. The film also features the talents of James Woods, Mario Cantone, Diedrich Bader, Sal Masekela and professional surfers Kelly Slater and Rob Machado. Synopsis:
Surf’s Up goes behind the scenes of the high-octane world of competitive penguin surfing. Inspired by his hero, the legendary wave rider Big Z, Cody Maverick leaves his family and his town of Shiverpool, Antarctica to travel to Pen Gu Island for the Big Z Memorial Surf Off – Cody’s first pro competition. Cody believes that winning will bring him the admiration and respect he deserves.
