Resident Evil films get the double feature treatment

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment resurrects “cult classics” Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse and unites them in a chilling double feature collector’s edition set, slated to hit store shelves September 4. Directors Paul Anderson (Mortal Kombat and Alien vs. Predator) and Alexander Witt transport the thrilling video game franchise to the movie screen in a shocking series filled with suspense and gore. In Resident Evil, Milla Jovovich (The Fifth Element, Ultra Violet), Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious, TV’s Lost) and Eric Mabius (Cruel Intentions, TV’s Ugly Betty) join forces to save the world from a deadly virus and wage war against the ravenous zombies created by an evil experiment gone awry.
