A stellar cast including Michael Keaton (Batman, Beetlejuice), Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Gods and Monsters) and Amber Valletta (Hitch, What Lies Beneath) star in The Last Time - a wicked black comedy centered around an insidious love triangle, available on DVD July 10 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for the suggested retail price of $24.96.
The Last Time features Keaton in one of his strongest performances to date, playing a cynical salesman who rediscovers his lust for life after falling for the fiancée of his new business partner, a Mid-west transplant finding his footing in New York City. The DVD will include nine deleted scenes.
The Last Time marks the feature film directorial and writing debut of Michael Caleo, whose previous writing credits include the hit television shows Rescue Me (FX) and The Sopranos (HBO).
Synopsis: Ted (Keaton), the top salesman at the Bindview sales company, is forced to show naïve novice, Jamie (Fraser), the ropes. Jamie’s optimistic enthusiasm isn’t squashed by Ted’s cynical and angry personality, but after he fails to make sale after sale, Jamie quickly becomes disillusioned with the fast-paced world of big business in New York City. When Jamie introduces Ted to his beautiful fiancé, Belisa (Valletta), the hard-bitten salesman falls hard, and when they begin an illicit affair, the real Ted emerges; losing the bitter edge that made him a great salesman.
Jamie continues to fail at the sales game and Ted’s guilt over the affair prompts him to feed Jamie his own sales leads to try and keep him afloat. Even as Bindview begins to lose profitability, Ted becomes increasingly focused on Belisa and his own sales start to suffer. But all is not as it seems. Who will end up on top?
The Last Time is now available for pre-order at Amazon . As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD database for more information.
