Heather Graham (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Swingers) and Tom Cavanagh (“Ed,” “Scrubs”) star as a brother and sister determined to find the perfect mate for one another, in the smart and witty romantic comedy Gray Matters, debuting on DVD June 19 from Fox Home Entertainment.
More than just siblings, Gray (Graham) and Sam (Cavanaugh) are also best friends who finish each other’s sentences, live together in a downtown loft and even love the same classic films. However, when Gray takes it upon herself to find the perfect girl for her brother, little does she know that she may just have just found her own special match!
Gray Matters boasts a stellar supporting cast including Academy Award-winner Sissy Spacek (Coal Miner’s Daughter, In The Bedroom), Bridget Moynahan (“Six Degrees,” I Robot), Molly Shannon (“Saturday Night Live,” Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby) and Alan Cumming (X2: X-Men United, “The L Word”) and even features a special performance of every woman’s personal anthem – “I will Survive” by Grammy-winner Gloria Gaynor. The film is the directorial debut for Sue Kramer who also wrote and produced the film alongside the Oscar-winning producing team of Bob Yari and Alexander Payne (Crash and Sideways).
Synopsis:
Never having realized she might be gay, Gray’s confusion turns to desperation as she follows the “expert” advice of clueless friends, shrinks and strangers. Can she save her relationship with her brother and get the girl? Only one thing’s for sure. The laws of attraction are about to be bent.
