Anthony Minghella’s Breaking and Entering comes to DVD in May

A sexy and steamy story about a disparate group of Londoners connected by a string of burglaries and a passionate affair, Breaking and Entering makes its DVD debut on May 8th from Genius Products LLC. and The Weinstein Company. The DVD will have a suggested retail price of $28.95.

A rash of burglaries weaves a tangled web that ensnares a group of unlikely bed-fellows, unlocking secret passions that threaten to unravel the lives of everyone involved. Breaking and Entering is the first original screenplay from Oscar-winner Anthony Minghella (Best Director, The English Patient, 1996, Cold Mountain) since his 1991 feature debut Truly Madly Deeply and reunites Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche (Best Supporting Actress, The English Patient) and two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law (Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley) with the acclaimed filmmaker. The film also features powerhouse performances from Robin Wright Penn (White Oleander, Message In A Bottle) and newcomer Rafi Gavron, who along with Binoche garnered nominations from the British Independent Film Awards for their roles. Synopsis
Professionally, things could not be better for Will (Law), but personally he spends less and less time at home with his chronically depressed partner (Wright Penn) and their troubled 13 year-old daughter. When his offices are repeatedly burgled, his investigations lead him to an apartment the teenaged thief shares with his mother (Binoche) – the woman with whom Will embarks on an unexpected journey of betrayal and passion.The Breaking and Entering DVD features six deleted scenes, commentary by writer/director Minghella and Lie, Cheat, Steal, Love: The Making of Breaking & Entering featurette.
