Terror goes international when Turistas comes to DVD and Blu-ray unrated

Beautiful women, pristine beaches, exotic drinks and partying well into the night…sounds like the ideal getaway, but for a young group of adventurous travelers – it becomes a vacation into hell! 

An "intense, unflinching tale of escalating suspense" that overcomes a group of American tourists, Turistas stamps your passport to terror on DVD unrated March 27th from Fox Home Entertainment for the suggested retail price of $29.98 and on Blu-ray Disc on April 17th for the suggested retail price of $39.98.

A worst-case-scenario of a trip gone bad for world travelers and a cautionary tale for those who think the entire world is their playground, Turistas is brutally shocking, graphically violent and disturbingly very real as it follows a group of hapless young travelers whose seemingly blissful beach vacation goes from bad to worse after a bus accident maroons them in a remote Brazilian beach town, where they slowly discover that the lush setting is concealing a darker, unsettling secret. 

The first American film production to shoot entirely in the country of Brazil, Turistas was directed by John Stockwell (Into The Blue, Blue Crush) and boasts an impressive cast of Hollywood’s hottest up-and-coming stars, including Josh Duhamel (“Las Vegas”), Melissa George (The Amityville Horror, “Alias”), Olivia Wilde (“The O.C.”) and Desmond Askew (The Hills Have Eyes). 

The Turistas DVD is presented on a flipper disc in widescreen (2.35:1) with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and French / Spanish Dolby Surround with Spanish subtitles.
