Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Gridiron Gang on DVD (in both the Widescreen and Fullscreen formats) and PSP on January 16th for the suggested retail price of $28.95.
Based on a true football story and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Walking Tall, Doom) and Xzibit (xXx State of the Union, TV’s Pimp My Ride) Gridiron Gang is a hard-hitting movie about gaining a second chance and social responsibility through the courage of football.
The film tells the gritty and powerfully emotional true story of a juvenile detention camp probation office Sean Porter (Johnson) who along with another officer Malcolm Moore (Xzibit), turns a group of hard core teenage delinquents into a high school football team in four weeks.
Confronted with gang rivalries and bitter hatred between his teammates, Porter reaches some hard lessons (and learns a few himself) as the kids gain a sense of self-respect and responsibility.

The DVD will come packed with bonus features including:
Profile on Phil Joanou: From Real Life to Big Screen
The Rock Takes The Field
Deleted Scenes with Commentary
Multi-angle Football Scene
Gridiron Gang: Football Training
Gridiron Gang is now available for pre-order at Amazon. As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD database for more information.
