Poseidon set to sail onto DVD in August

Warner Bros. has announced it will release Wolfgang Petersen's "Poseidon" on DVD on August 22nd in both single disc and double disc editions. The two disc version has a suggested retail price of $34.99 and the single disc has the suggested retail of $28.99.The remake of the 1975 epic follows the events after a rogue wave rolls a luxury cruise ship in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. A group of survivors must join together to save their lives by traveling through the sinking ship to find an escape. Like the original, the new version features an all-star cast including Josh Lucas, Andre Braugher, Kurt Russell, Emmy Rossum and Richard Dreyfuss.The DVD single edition special features are set to include "Poseidon: A Ship on a Soundstage" featurette and the trailer. While the two-disc edition will include the above featurette and "Poseidon: Upside Down," "Rogue Waves" and "A Shipmate's Diary." Cover art and more details have not been released yet.
