Universal serves up an extended edition of Fried Green Tomatoes

Academy Award winners Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy star with Mary Stuart Masterson and Mary-Louise Parker in the inspiring drama adapted from Fannie Flagg's best-selling novel – Fried Green Tomatoes, and Universal is celebrating the film’s 15th anniversary with a new extended edition now on DVD for the suggested retail price of $19.98.

The film follows an unhappy housewife (Bates) who befriends a lady in a nursing home (Tandy), she hears a remarkable tale of laughter, devotion and a special friendship that defies all obstacles in this heartwarming film from acclaimed director Jon Avnet.The Anniversary Extended Edition will come loaded with special features including:7 minutes of additional footage
