Hollywood’s leading lady Sharon Stone is back and on the wrong side of the law once again as best-selling crime novelist Catherine Tramell in the slick and sexy sequel to the Oscar-nominated thriller, Basic Instinct. David Morrissey (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin), Charlotte Rampling (Swimming Pool, The Statement), David Thewlis (Kingdom of Heaven, Seven Years in Tibet) and Hugh Dancy (King Arthur, Black Hawk Down) complete the cast of characters caught up in Tramell’s (Stone) web of lies and seduction. The film is directed by Michael Caton-Jones (City by the Sea, The Jackal, Rob Roy) and executive produced by Denise O’Dell and Mark Albela (Kingdom of Heaven, Sahara).
The film follows London psychiatrist Dr. Michael Glass (Morrissey) - the type of man crime novelist Catherine Tramell (Stone) loves to pick at. He is successful, thriving, respected, intelligent and at the top of his game. When a famous professional athlete is mysteriously murdered, Detective Superintendent Roy Washburn (Thewlis) asks Glass to analyze potential suspect Catherine Tramell, a sexy American crime novelist infamous for her fiction turning into reality.

The magnetism between the two is immediate and Glass is intrigued by Catherine both mentally and physically. But, professional boundaries are blurred as Glass becomes engulfed in Tramell’s sea of lies, seduction and intrigue. Glass soon finds himself head-to-head with Tramell in a battle of wits as more mysterious deaths occur, sometimes too close to home. Ultimately, this battle leads to the film’s climax when Glass must decide between right and wrong – life or death.
