The Dirty Dozen gets the double feature treatment on DVD in May

The rag-tag crew of army miscreants is back for two more electrifying missions when MGM Home Entertainment and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment release The Dirty Dozen Double Feature.
The DVD will have the second and third “made-for-TV” sequels, The Deadly Mission and The Fatal Mission, to the Academy Award-winning Dirty Dozen (1967: Best Effects/Sound Effects) for the first time on DVD May 23rd for the suggested retail price of $19.94.
The double feature DVD stars Oscar winner Ernest Borgnine (Marty, The Poseidon Adventure), Telly Savalas (Kojak, Kelly's Heroes), Erik Estrada (National Lampoon's Van Wilder, CHiPs) and Heather Thomas (Over the Grand Canyon, Cyclone).
Made in 1987 and capitalizing on the classic original film’s appeal, The Dirty Dozen: The Deadly Mission centers around a “Dirty Dozen” team of convicted army prisoners enlisted by charismatic but controversial Major Joseph Wright (Savalas) for a dangerous mission. Major Wright and the Dozen must destroy a remote French monastery being used by the Nazis as a nerve gas manufacturing plant before the Germans make enough to use against the Allies.
The squad returns for another high-risk mission in The Dirty Dozen: The Fatal Mission, the third-sequel made for television in 1988. This time, Major Wright and the Dirty Dozen must thwart a Nazi scheme to establish a dreaded Fourth Reich by heading off a group of Nazi soldiers who are riding the Orient Express to Istanbul.
The DVD’s cover art and possible special features have not been announced yet. Check back for more information as the release date approaches.
The Dirty Dozen Double Feature is available for pre-order at Amazon. As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD’s database for more information.
