Based on a story by the author of The Ring, Dark Water follows a devoted mother, Connelly, and her daughter Ceci, played by Ariel Gade, as they move into a mysterious old New York apartment building, and soon are beset by strange happenings – such as persistent leaks of dark water from the seemingly deserted apartment above them.
In the tradition of films by Alfred Hitchcock and M. Night Shyamalan, Dark Water explores the chilling, heart-stopping territory where everyday reality encounters forces from beyond.
The DVD will come loaded with bonus features including deleted scenes; “The Sound of Terror” – which reveals the subliminal soundscapes of the film; “Analyzing Dark Water” – a look at the film’s intense sequences; and “Beneath The Surface: The Making of Dark Water.”
The disc will also include multi-angle bathroom sequences – which views this pivotal scene from various audio angles; and “Extraordinary Ensemble” – a featurette on the film’s cast and crew.
Dark Water is available for pre-order at Amazon, and is now available at AmazonUK. Visit the DVD’s database for more information.
