40 Year-Old Virgin DVD details

Universal Home Entertainment announced this week that they’ll be releasing three separate versions of ‘The 40 Year-Old Virgin’ on DVD this December.
The Steve Carell comedy was a surprise hit for them, and should be a hot comodity this Christmas, so Universal is going overboard with their release and flooding shelves with as many different DVDs as possible. Sitting on shelves will be the usual two different theatrical versions, one in widescreen and one in fullscreen. The third release though is the one you’ll want. They’re putting together an Unrated edition and releasing it widescreen only.
The Unrated edition of ‘The 40 Year-Old Virgin’ will reportedly feature a full 16 minutes of extra footage. Also included on the Unrated disc will be a few extras, including a Featurette called “You Know How I Know You’re Gay?”, a gag reel, and deleted scenes.
All three ’40 Year-Old Virgin” DVD releases hit shelves December 13 with a suggested retail price of $29.99. Since they’re all being priced the same, the Unrated edition is clearly the better value.
