Personally, I would've put Gladiator much higher on the list.

I would add 1973's Herbert Ross Film 'The Last of Sheila'- a brilliant and oft overlooked film...best work Dyan Cannon ever did in her career fyi

I would add Kevin Costner/Tony Scott film Revenge and Mel Gibson's Payback. I also think The Crow should be on the list not just an 'also' mention.

All a bit too modern and the usual blood and guts graphic nonsense that does not need much writing or acting.

None of them are a patch on Kind Hearts and Coronets. The film epitomises the quote, 'Revenge is a dish best served cold.'

British cinematography at its best.
