Synopsis: Maria had longed to be a nun since she was a young girl, yet when she became old enough discovered that it wasn't at all what she thought. Often in trouble and doing the wrong things, Maria is sent to the house of a retired naval captain, named Captain Von Trapp, to care for his children. Von Trapp was widowed several years before and was left to care for seven 'rowdy' children. The children have run off countless governesses. Maria soon learns that all these children need is a little love to change their attitudes. Maria teaches the children to sing, and through her, music is brought back into the hearts and home of the Von Trapp family. Unknowingly, Maria and Captain Von Trapp are falling helplessly in love, except there are two problems, the Captain is engaged, and Maria is a postulant!

Synopsis: Mrs. Anna Leonowens and her son Louis arrive in Bangkok, where she has contracted to teach English to the children of the royal household. She threatens to leave when the house she had been promised is not available, but falls in love with the children. A new slave, a gift of a vassal king, translates "Uncle Tom's Cabin" into a Siamese ballet, expressing her unhappiness at being with the King. She attempts to escape with her lover. Anna and the King fall in love, but her British upbringing inhibits her from joining his harem. She is just about to leave Siam when she hears of the King's imminent death, and returns to help his son, her favorite pupil, rule his people.

Synopsis: Billy is sent down "from above" for one day to try and make amends for mistakes he made in life. Billy worked at the carnival running the carousel, which is where he met Julie. The carny owner Mrs. Mullen fires him because of jealousy, and he and Julie get married. Billy gets into bad habits when he can't find a job and they are forced to live with Julie's cousin Nettie after Julie is fired from her factory job for staying out late with Billy. When Julie tells him she's pregnant, he feels compelled to somehow find a way to support his family, but the only option seems to be falling back into crime with his old pal Jigger.
Oklahoma! was directed by Fred Zinnemann and stars Gordon MacRae, Gloria Grahame, Gene Nelson, Charlotte Greenwood, Shirley Jones.
Synopsis: A couple of young cowboys win the hearts of their sweethearts in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the century. Despite the interference of an evil ranch hand and a roaming peddler.
State Fair was directed by José Ferrer and stars Pat Boone, Bobby Darin, Pamela Tiffin, Ann-Margret, Tom Ewell.
Synopsis: Farm family Frake, with discontented daughter Margy, head for the Iowa State Fair. On the first day, both Margy and brother Wayne meet attractive new flames; so does father's prize hog, Blue Boy. As the fair proceeds, so do the romances; must lovers separate when the fair closes?
