Pacino and De Palma come together again, this time to introduce us to a partially true story of a gangster, Carlito Brigante, who after spending some time in prison decides to step aside and seek for a better life, away from drugs, deals and killings.
Based on the books written by New York judge, Edwin Torres, Carlito's Way goes through the drama of this man who can't seem to get away from his past and he's sentenced to be involved with an atmosphere which has made him lost everything he cares about.
