After loyally serving ten years inside for killing a rival gang's boss, Tachibana (Ishibashi) is expected to pick up where he left off in his career as hitman for the Hirakawa syndicate. When he is given Yuki, a prostitute, as a 'welcome back' present, Tachibana finds himself drawn into looking after her, rescuing her from both a serious drug habit and a brutal pimp.
After beating up the pimp, Tachibana discovers that his foe is a member of the larger, and more powerful, Hokushin gang, proving to have dire and deadly consequences for him and Yuki...
Director Mochizuki shows his class in placing human relationships at the very heart of this gangster film without sacrificing one iota of tense action.
