Drew Barrymore will direct the romantic comedy “How to Be Single,” based on the Liz Tucillo novel, for New Line.
According to Variety, Barrymore is producing through her Flower Films with partner Nancy Juvonen.
The novel focuses on the love life of a 38-year-old woman living in New York.
Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn wrote the adaptation.
New Line and Flower Films also collaborated on 2009’s “He’s Just Not That into You,” which was based on a Liz Tucillo novel she co-wrote with Greg Behrendt, and adapted by Silverstein and Kohn.
Barrymore starred in the romantic comedy.
She made her directorial debut on 2009’s “Whip It” and last starred in New Line’s “Going the Distance.”
