Dennis Quaid to Star and Direct in Shame on You

Dennis Quaid is to write, star and make his feature directorial debut in a biopic about the controversial 1940s Western swing star Spade Cooley.

Shame on You will follow Cooley’s life from the murder of his wife, whom he killed in front of their teenage daughter in 1961, to the time he spent in prison for his crime and through to his release in 1969 to perform a benefit concert, where he died from a heart attack backstage.

The film is named after Cooley’s most famous song, “Shame, Shame on You,” which became his trademark.
