***image2:left***A location manager and various crew members got a real shock when they were setting up at a downtown L.A. location shoot for <EM>CSI: NY.</EM> <P></P> <P>A real corpse was discovered in the building where production was setting up filming. It turned out to be the mummified remains of an old tenant. </P> <P>Celeb blog Defamer.com speculated it could have been the “body of a forgotten production assistant who never returned from a curiously prolonged Starbucks run.” </P> <P>People magazine reports: “Though downtown Los Angeles was subbing for the streets of New York, the corpse was real, a source close to the show, adding that the remains were found on the 5th floor of the building – only two floors below the actors and film crew. </P> <P>The body, the production source tells People, "was discovered by a building engineer who checked on the tenant because he had not paid rent for the month."</P> <P>Life imitating art, or in their case, death imitates art as the show recently shot an episode revolving around the discovery of a mummified body.<BR></P>Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
