Singer/songwriter and country music icon Dolly Parton will soon be hitting the road for her first European concert tour since the 1970s. The tour will kick off in Denmark in March, the organizer of the Danish event said Monday.
The 60-year-old country diva will have an eight date tour starting in Horsens, 125 miles west of Copenhagen, on March 7, and then continue to Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, England and Scotland. The tour will end on April 2nd in Dublin, Ireland.
Parton has been a long time star in country music with hits that include “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Here You Come Again.” The country diva has also branched out into movies with staring roles in “9 to 5,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” and “Steel Magnolias.”
