Country singer Trisha Yearwood to perform at Atlanta Olympic Celebration

Country singer Trisha Yearwood will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Atlanta’s hosting of the Olympic Games during a special concert on July 15th.

The singer, who is a native of Georgia, was part of the 1996 closing ceremonies, and is the first performer announced to be taking the state at the free concert. It is scheduled to be held in Atlanta’s Centennial Park.

Yearwood (41) hit the country music scene with the hit single “She’s in Love With the Boy,” and has seen continued success with singles like “How Do I Live,” and her new album ‘Jasper County.’
