Ice Road Truckers end of line contest
To celebrate the History Channel's "Ice Road Truckers" - the top-rated cable reality show in the adults 25-54 demo, also the most-watched show ever for The History Channel, Monsters has a last "Ice Road" contest for three lucky winners!!
Truckers averaged 3.4 million total viewers during its debut in June, writes Media Life. That number grew 14 percent, to 3.89 million, by the show's most recent outing, last Sunday at 10 p.m.
"Ice Road Truckers" is a series that follows the crusty and fierce truck drivers who deliver equipment to the diamond mines in Northern Canada, often driving over frozen lakes that threaten to drop the rigs into the water below.
It has been compared to Discovery's "Deadliest Catch," about a group of Alaskan crab fishermen. In both, the characters fight against time and nature to complete their potentially fatal jobs.
Truckers has been successful for The History Channel not only because of its wide appeal, but because it has been successful in drawing a younger crowd than the channel generally pulls, which has been a goal of the network in recent months.
We are giving away:
Prize Package
$25 American Express Fill-It-Up Gas Card
Ice Road Truckers branded T-shirt
Ice Road Truckers branded Hat
The History Channel branded portable iPod speakers
to three lucky winners.
Contest ends September 2, 2007.
