TV Picks: Led by a cast of former Brigham Young University grads, Studio C is a family-friendly comedy sketch series from BYUtv that is launching its 5th season on Monday, October 6th at 8pm MT/10pm ET with brand new sketches.
Studio C was originally started by Brigham Young University alumni foursome, Whitney Call, Mallory Everton, Jason Gray and Matthew Meese, all of whom were members of the sketch comedy group, Divine Comedy while at BYU. Studio C is now comprised of 10 comediennes total.
Founded on the principles of seeing the good in the world and committed to producing entertainment that can be viewed by all ages, Studio C appeals to a broader audience, making ita laugh-out-loud comedy show appropriate for the entire family.
The show has established a loyal and fast-growing digitally driven fan base, having secured 500,000 views on BYUtv’s YouTube channel during its first season in 2012 and now reaching close to 60 million views on YouTube, with individual sketches being shared across many digital platforms.
BYUtv, the nation’s only university affiliated cable network is available in more than 53 million households in every state of the country and offers approximately 1,000 hours of original programming annually, including 500 hours of live HD collegiate sports.
