The Weinstein Company has set a September 21, 2012, release date for their ensemble crime drama “Cogan’s Trade.”
According to Indiewire.com, the cast includes Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Bella Heathcote, Vincent Curatola, Richard Jenkins and Ray Liotta.
Andrew Dominick is directing from his own script.
The film is based on the 1974 George V. Higgins novel of the same name that focuses on Jackie Cogan (Pitt), a Boston mob enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a mob-protected poker game.
The Weinstein Company produced along with Pitt and Dede Gardner’s Plan B Entertainment.
