Chynna Phillips enters rehab for anxiety issues

Singer Chynna Phillips, who was one of the members of the pop group Wilson Phillips, has checked herself into rehab for anxiety over the weekend, her manager, Lizzie Grubman, revealed to People magazine.

Phillips has a storied family life, she and Mackenzie Phillips have the same father, the one Mackenzie recently revealed had a sexual affair with her for years.

Her mother is Michelle Phillips, one of the original Mamas and the Papas singers.

“After much thoughtful deliberation Chynna Phillips has checked herself into an undisclosed treatment facility for anxiety,” Grubman said in a statement. “With the full support of her family and friends, she is looking forward to her recovery. We ask that people respect her and her family’s privacy at this time.”

Phillips, 42, has three children with her husband, “Gossip Girl” star Billy Baldwin.  The couple wed in 1995, and Phillips has since collaborated on Christian music projects with her brother-in-law Stephen Baldwin.

Recently she made an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to support her half-sister, who made headlines with her revelations their father, “Papa” John Phillips, raped Mackenzie as a teen, then had an on-and-off consensual sexual relationship with him over the course of a decade.

“I pray that we all get closer through this crisis,” Chynna said. She also revealed her mother “had a place of love in her heart” for Mackenzie.

Chynna’s advice for Mackenzie: “Get the Lord on board, ’cause you’re gonna need it.”
