American actress and opera singer Kathryn Grayson was born February 9th, 1922 in Winston-Salem, Nort Carolina.

The film, television and stage actress established her career through the genre of musicals. Her most notable film credits include ‘Anchors Aweigh’ (1945), ‘Show Boat’ (1951) of whom she starred alongside Frank Sinatra, and ‘Kiss me Kate’ (1953).

Her last screen performances came in 1989 where she made regular appearances on the hit TV show ‘Murder She Wrote’ as Ideal Molloy.

On February 17th, 2010 Grayson sadly died at the old age of 88 at her LA home.
