‘Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro Arrested for Alleged DUI


Another TLC star steps in it.

‘Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro was arrested in his 2014 yellow Corvette early today for allegedly driving while intoxicated, according to Reauters, TMZ and ABC.  Buddy Valastro, TLC’s favorite Hoboken baker and star of reality TV series “Cake Boss,” was arrested early Thursday morning in Manhattan for suspected drunk driving.

According to TMZ, Valastro was arrested after failing “multiple” field sobriety tests and blowing “well above the legal limit.”  Valastro, 42, was pulled over around 1 a.m. on Tenth Avenue on New York City’s West Side according to TMZ.

The Hoboken, New Jersey, pastry chef was taken to central booking and is likely to appear in court later today.

In 2012, former “Cake Boss” cast member Remigio “Remy” Gonzalez appeared in Morris County Court, New Jersey. He was sentenced to nine years in state prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Valastro’s arrest is just the latest embarrassment for TLC whose “stars” include felonious Mama June. the kissing Duggars and acrylic nail psychic maven Theresa Caputo.

“Cake Boss” premiered on The Learning Channel in 2009. The show follows Valastro anthe family and workers at his business, Carlo’s Bakery, located in New Jersey.

Valastro also stars in “Kitchen Boss” and “The Next Great Baker,” both on TLC.
