As the new Countess of Goldengreen, October Daye better known as Toby just got roped into taking on the responsibility of training Quentin as a squire. With the assistance of her lover Connor, The Luidaeg, Quentin and others, Toby eventually unravels a twisted plot perpetrated by an old adversary. Stopping the pending war will cost her so dearly only The Luidaeg will be able to rekindle Toby’s will to live.
This lightening paced, action packed tale starts off sedately enough then picks up speed while ratcheting up the tension. Toby manages to come up with a clever plan to rid herself of the unwelcome responsibility of being a Countess while cementing friendlier relationships between Undersea and other fae.
